FAQ

Brow Lamination is a chemical process, that breaks down the bonds within the hairs so that they can be restructured into a new desired shape and style. Brow Lamination allows beauty professionals to create Full and Fluffy Brows for their clients, while also creating symmetry and taming tough, unruly hairs.

Additionally, lamination allows professionals to lift brow hairs upwards for clients with a 'straight' brow shape (where hairs grow in a downward direction) - helping the arch of the brow appear more prominent and defined.

Brow hairs can always be combed back into their natural shape, so if your client is not wanting the full, fluffy effect of lamination - don’t worry!  The brows can still go back to their natural shape with a gentle comb.

As we know all brows are little different - we like to think of them as sisters, not twins! They can be more natural and fluffy or they can be more sleek and straight in a diagonal direction. Brow Lamination allows us to be flexible in creating the desired effect for each individual client.

A Brow Lamination can last up to 6-8 weeks if correct aftercare directions are followed. There are a few best practices to follow post-lamination treatment to ensure the best results. This includes not getting the Brows wet for 24 hours post treatment, avoiding sleeping face down and combing the brows up daily with recommended retail aftercare serum.

Although our Brow Products are Non Toxic and safe to use on the skin we do not recommend performing brow lamination if your client is pregnant or breastfeeding due to elevated sensitivity caused by hormones produced during pregnancy and after/during breastfeeding. It is ideal to wait at least 3 months after breastfeeding.

Do not perform Brow Lamination on clients who have just had any recent microblading/permanent makeup

Contra Indications for Brow Lamination are:  Psoriasis/Eczema, Recent Eye Surgery, Alopecia, Recent Permanent Make up (must be healed by 6 weeks) Sunburn, Ultra-Sensitive Skin, Blood Thinners.

A Brow Lamination treatment typically takes 30 minutes.

Each step takes anywhere from 4-8 minutes depending on the client's hair type.

If you are also performing a Brow Sculpt & Tint, you will be need to allow some extra time (we suggest 45 minutes in total).

We suggest allowing a little extra time when you are first introducing Brow Lamination so that you can gauge the appropriate appointment length to suit your salon.

We suggest 1 – 2 pumps, per brow* depending on thickness to ensure you are achieving the recommended number of treatments for your Brow Nation kit. (Starter Kit: 8-10 Treatments / Full Size Kit: Up To 40 Treatments)

The average / recommended retail price in Australia for Brow Lamination is between $70-$120, depending on your salon and experience.

Therapist's can also add on a Brow Wax & Tint, but whether this is included in your service price is up to your salon.
